VP/Director of E-Commerce Sales
Dotcom has a unique opportunity for a sales/business development professional with a successful track record in consultative sales to the e-commerce and multi-channel retail industry. Job Description Summary:
This Sales Leader will develop business opportunities by targeting e-commerce and multi-channel retail businesses. The individual will work with senior management, prospective clients, and business partners to implement sales and marketing strategies in order to meet overall business goals, including enabling us to deliver a “one-stop” solution for clients interested in a turnkey solution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Search and identify new business opportunities, focusing on our core markets, in order to generate business and company growth.
- Consistently build and manage a pipeline of new, revenue generating opportunities.
- Conduct research and build relationships necessary in order to develop opportunities into business.
- Recommend new business activities including the integration of new initiatives.
- Work closely with operations to establish and implement operational changes to meet the demands of prospective clients, if appropriate.
- Participate in networking organizations in order to develop contacts and new business opportunities.
- Promote company image and services by attending and participating in trade shows, partner meetings, and product seminars, when applicable.
- Meet and exceed assigned goals (i.e. revenue, new clients, etc.)
- Track current industry trends within e-commerce, supply chain and logistics.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Successful track record in consultative sales to the e-commerce and multi-channel retail industry
- Prior experience calling on C-level and e-commerce executives
- Expertise in generating profit through targeting clients and closing deals
- Strong communication, presentation, and written skills
- Minimum of five years of successful business development experience
- Knowledge of fulfillment / distribution environment is a plus
- BS/BA Degree
